Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is an Irish actress and model. Doody made her acting debut in the Bond film called A View to a Kill in 1985. In 1989 she played an archaeologist with Nazi sympathies Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Siobhan Doovan portrayed Charlotte on Taffin in 1988, and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody began modelling after being invited by an experienced photographer. This led to an impressive professional career as a model for commercials. Doody was very determined not to do glamorous or sexually explicit work. This rule extended into Doody's acting work. In the event that she was brought to director's attention for an upcoming James Bond film, Doody was offered a small role in A View to a Kill (1985). Doody was listed as one of the 12 most promising new Actors of 1986 by John Willis Screen World, Volume. 38. Doody has collaborated with three James Bond actors. Doody played the role in the British mini-series Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. It was based on The Hitler Diaries publication scam. The actress later relocated to Hollywood. She was Flannery her agent as well as partner for Major League II. She was selected as the replacement for Cybill Shepherd who had been L'Oreal's spokesperson. Doody played a role in The 2003 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine played her in a ceremony to receive an award. She also appeared in 2004 with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines.
