Rena Sofer
Rena Sherel Sofer (born on December 2, 1968) is an American actress, known for her performances on daytime television, episodic guest appearances as well as made-for TV films. In 1995, Sofer received a Daytime Emmy Award for her portrayal of Lois Cerullo in the soap opera General Hospital. She played Quinn Fuller on the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful from 2013 until 2022.
Early life
Sofer was born in Arcadia, California, the daughter of Susan Sofer (nee Franzblau) who was a psychologist, and Martin Sofer, an Orthodox Rabbi.
In 1970, she moved in 1970 to Teaneck, New Jersey with her brother David and her father. At the time, Sofer was 5 years old, she was living in Western Pennsylvania. They were raised in Ambridge, Pennsylvania by their father, Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She later attended the Frisch School in Paramus, New Jersey, which is coeducational Modern Orthodox Jewish high-school. Sofer lived in North Bergen, New Jersey in the town where her father was Rabbi of the synagogue Temple Beth El. Sofer graduated from North Bergen High School and then went to Montclair State College.
Career
Daytime television
Lois Marie Cerullo was Lois Marie Sofer's debut role in General Hospital. Her first appearance came in 1993, as a manager of a band. Her first major role was Rocky McKenzie on the daytime soap show Loving (1988-91).
